FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3rd Generation Wentz at Wentz Equipment, Inc.Barry Wentz joins team at Wentz Equipment, Inc.June, 2000 -- Barry Wentz is the latest Wentz to join his father, Rodney and his uncle Norman at Wentz Equipment, Inc., Napoleon. The local John Deere Dealership has been in the Wentz family from its origin in 1934. Youngest Wentz returned to Napoleon in July of 2000 and assumed the role of sales / management at the local business in north Napoleon. Barry is a 1989 NDSU graduate, majoring in economics and business. After graduation he was employed by the North Dakota Department of Banking as a financial institution examiner. In 1991 he accepted a position with First Community Credit Union, Bismarck branch, as a branch manager. After almost six months on the job in Napoleon Barry said, "I enjoy what I'm doing and it's an exciting career," as he fields a call from someone looking for a piece of equipment. As a minority stockholder Barry said, "I see the business as growing to be a more service oriented business." Barry said he is proud of the products and service history of the company. "Our service department is second to none and we have the best technicians in the state," said Wentz. Norman stated that "Barry has been very helpful and aggressive. He has made a difference in our sales team and managership, as well as in employee relations." Currently Wentz Equipment employs 13 people: five office staff, five technicians, and three parts people. John Deere agricultural products, consumer products, parts and service are the mainstay of the local business. But in addition to the long green line, the business handles between 30 and 40 other lines of farm equipment including: Bobcat, Brandt, Summers, Degelman, etc.
